Sustainability in the fleet  

SchapfenMühle has purchased two new trucks. Both vehicles are on the basic of regulated exhaust gas recirculation, the strict emission standard EURO-5 and the voluntary environment standard EEU. `Enhanced environmentaly friendly vehicle`We make a furher contribution to the CO2 emissions in the atmosphere decrease.

New photovoltaic system for more sustainability

On the roof of the logistic center of SchapfenMühle in Dornstadt was build a photovoltaic system with 216 kWp.

The system includes 920 solar pannels on a area of 4500 m².

With this second photovoltaic system of SchapfenMühle we can reduce about 130 tonns of CO2 per annum.

An Ulm bread tradition brought up to date

Barley – a grain with a tradition in Ulm
Even a long time ago, millers from the Ulm region sold a cooking barley called “Ulm barley”. Today, barley is experiencing a true renaissance as a bread cereal.
